Our 36th AGM – A Wonderful Celebration
On Friday the 16th of October, Our 36th Annual General Meeting was a fantastic success.
As we look forward to celebrating 37 years of Home-Start North West Kent in January, it was wonderful to reflect on the difference our charity continues to make to local families.
As always, the real highlight was hearing the personal stories shared by our amazing volunteers and the parents we support. Their experiences truly brought to life the importance of Home-Start and the difference that friendship, understanding and support can make.
We were delighted to welcome MP Jim Dickson, the Mayors from the three towns we serve, councillors, and representatives from local organisations and other charities. The Mayors and Jim were also pleased to present certificates to our volunteers in recognition of their dedication and commitment.
A special thank you to Councillor Jonathan Hawkes, who paid tribute to our staff. We also thanked Jonathan for his seven years of support, including four years as Chair of our Board of Trustees.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who continues to support Home-Start North West Kent, including Dartford Healthy Living Centre, who kindly prepared a delicious buffet lunch enjoyed by all those attending.
Thank you to everyone who joined us, shared their stories and continues to help us make a difference to families across our local community. Together, we can continue to give children the best possible start in life.

Every family has their own story, and hearing from a parent who has experienced our support first-hand is a powerful reminder of why our work matters so much. Sometimes, having someone there to listen without judgement, offer friendship and provide support when life feels overwhelming can make all the difference. Our amazing volunteers walk alongside families through challenging times, helping them build confidence and feel less alone. of our families.
